Shelby:

I think a lot of it has to do with the parents as well. My parents made sure I was read to every night.

Haha: Do any of you guys know about the AR program? (Accelerated Reader). Well, in middle school, I thought I thought I would be "smart" and "dumb" down my answers so as not to get such a high reading level. I knew I was smart. Anyway, my parents got a letter in the mail, stating that I had a reading level of a third grader in the second half of the year. -Grin.- My father grabbed one of his college textbooks, tossed it at me, and told me to read it and explain to me what it stated. I did. I had to retake the assessment. "Your child has a reading level of a junior in college during their second semester."
