BP Newbie - Whats up!? (pics)

    Hello all
Here are a few pics of my BP. Im pretty sure its a female (from what others have told me) My girlfriend and I rescued her from a crappy owner. He kept her in a garbage can and tried to feed her steak. When we got her, she was pretty small and weak. She's a little over 2 years old. (we've had her for about 2 yrs)

    Pics:

We feed her every 2 weeks w/ 2 small mice, back to back and keep her in a seperate tank during feeding time. She comes out of her rock regularly to soak and sit under the light. So far so good!

PS: If anyone can shed a little light as to what kind of BP she is, would be greatly appreciated. (the pics arent all that great, sorry everyone!)

    Hello and Welcome...

Snake seems to be looking good, kudos on the rescue. Seems like a normal ball python. If you haven't done so you might want to check out the caresheet in the husbandry section to make sure you're providing the right environment for him/she

2 small mice dosnt sound like enough food for her. I feed my 6 month old ball python 2 small mice every week. you might wanna try feeding her a small rat one time a week. by the way shes a beautiful little snake.

Thanks for the advice guys! Yea I had a feeling we needed to feed the snake more...

Here are a few more pics. Every now and then I throw in a branch or some shrubs. She seems to come out more often when I have the branch in there. The snake appears to be shedding in bits and pieces here but she normally sheds in one piece thankfully.

    Welcome! :

I agree that she could probably use either larger prey, or more frequent feeding. However, she looks healthy and beautiful.
