Thanks for the compliments on the snakes and the tattoo everyone!
Judy - I am a BIG fan of TMNT. I watched the cartoons as a kid, had a bunch of the toys and we even "played" TMNT as kids. I was always Donatello so I walked around with a broom handle wacking things LOL.
Evan - I was searching the internet for good photos of the TMNT and came across these really detailed ink drawings that were based off of the comics more so than the cartoons. I just really liked the way they look and I like tattoos with a lot of details and shadowing so I decided to go that route.
Tim - Yeah, I really need to get Optimus finished but I had such a hard time with it on my previous session that I'm wary of returning to that area. I don't know if it's because I'm just that much more sensative on my lower back or if it's because that particular tattoo artist is slower or what but I thought for a while there that I was done with tattoos! Of course (as we all know), that's not possible and I got the bug again recently for whatever reason. But I just didn't feel like working on Optimus right now so I decided to add a turtle. Well, Donatello was SO easy (maybe because I was expecting another "Optimus experience") that I'm ready for Michaelangelo now LOL! Anyways, I'll get Optimus finished but I'll probably go to my regular guy (the artist doing all the turtles) to get it done. I hate switching artists on a project like that but my regular guy is just so much more...efficient LOL!
Rhapsody - I know exactly what you mean! I got one tattoo and took a break for about a couple of years (since I still lived with my parents). But then I got my second, third, and fourth tattoos all within a month's time! They're just like reptiles - you can't have just one!
Thanks,
Celia
