Angolan Pythons are fantastic animals. They are truly unique and nothing like Ball Pythons as the common initial impression of them tends to be. When we first got Angolan Pythons, I was basically expecting just a slightly larger Ball Python. These little guys quickly proved me wrong though!

They are much more active and alert than your standard Ball Python. They grow to be slightly larger as well with adults reaching 6 to 7 feet long. They have really cool keeled scales that make handling them a very different experience. They never refuse food and aren't picky about what you offer them (live or frozen/thawed). They are also extremely easy to keep and I have not found ours to require any sort of special care outside of the ordinary.

I like to descibe them as a snake that is similar in appearance to a Ball Python although with a more Rock Python type body shape. They have a much more rounded spine/body shape vs. the "tented"/pyramid shape that you see in Ball Pythons. They seem to have a Woma Python type personality and make good use of their eyes/heat pits. When I open their cage, these guys are right there. Not necessarily in an agressive manner but more like "Hey what's going on? Do you have food for me?" LOL.

I thoroughly enjoy working with them and they are very impressive animals. Most people that see them or have worked with them, are of the same opinion.

Pairs are generally around $4,500 to $5,000 a pair. It's hard to find lone females although lone males generally aren't difficult to pick up.

Thanks,
Celia
