    something in pit

Last night while I was holding my BP I noticed there was something in one of the front heat pits on its' nose. It looks to be a piece of scale from the previous shed(just finished about 4 or 5 days ago i think). The snake does not appear to be breathing heavy and it did not make a difference today when it came to feeding. She sensed that mouse the second I dropped it in the tank. Any clue on what to do or just wait and see?

It's possible it's a piece of shed, but it could also be a tick. Without a picture it would be a complete and total guess.

If it looks like just a peice of the old shed i would just leave it alone.Do you know what a mite or a tick look like? It could be a mite or tick buried in his nose pit.If you are not sure i would take it to a vet and let him get a look at it.Do not try to remove it as you could hurt your snake.
