    Big tank

Hey guys, right now my bp is housed in a 30 gallon. But my cousin is GIVING me his 70 gallon, and I seen in another post about someone down sizing SO what do you guys think? Should I give my bp the 70 gal? I just thought he would like the extra room to move around and such!

    Re: Big tank

I responded in the other thread - if your snake is a baby or juvie, a 70 gallon is way too big for them, and your 30 gallon is perfect for the rest of their life (unless yours ends up being a monster female).

I would not want the challenge of getting the proper temp gradient in a 70 gallon tank, personally.

But hey, maybe you can find another really cool animal to put in that 70 gallon! Sounds like a perfect reason to get another reptile (other than our shy, secretive ball pythons).

yeah I was thinking about how hard it would be for the temperatures. Hes not a baby, hes about 2 years old, and about 2 - 2 1/2 feet long. It just seems that the 30 gallon is getting to small for him.

Big aquariums should be saved for big fish...keep your bp in the 30 and get some african cichlids for the 70 gallon!

Sounds like a good setup for breeding your own rats . . ..
