    Exclamation Possible buy.

Guys i have a problem. I am new here for i'm usally on Redtailedboa.com but anyways i might be getting a ball python who is 2 years old. But here are the downsides

    1. She uses a heatrock in the winter for the snake
    2. The snake eats LIVE rats.
    3. She feeds it once every 3 weeks

    The good side

    1. Its really close to were i live.
    2. I will be able to see the snake before the buy
    3. I get the setup and snake for only 80 dollars.

Guys i need info on changeing the snake to f/d
I need help for ideas on what i should espect for this will be my first BP

Make sure there are no thermal burns, and dump the rock in the trash.

    2. The snake eats LIVE rats.
So what? Sorry, didn't mean to be rude, lol. But seriously, it's not a bad thing.

I'm confused ... Why is eating LIVE a downside?

Umm, I think I know why he doesn't like Live

I've seen him at rtb.net, the place where live is a sin... lol.

( I am NOT saying that site sucks or whatever, just saying they are uptight about live...)

    Hehe....Adam, you're a stinker!

Let's not turn this into a live vs f/t debate. Some people prefer to feed f/t and that's fine, too.

I absolutely agree 100% ... I just don't want to be judged for doing what works for me.

    Adam,
The Calvary will be here shortly for your detainment. LOL, almost everyone hates to feed live. I raised a beautiful Red Tail Boa into adulthood feeding live and only had ONE incident in uuuhhm about five years. The incident was MY fault not the rat nor the snakes. I did not know my RTB was sleeping and whap the rat bit her on the nostril. Everything was ok with a little triple antibiotic but I switched to frozen thawed shortly after that. That was pretty much my turning point. That’s all for today folks. My :2cents:
