I feel you with the rain boredom dilemma. I just finished reading "The Historian" by Elizabeth Kostav, which was a really cool book about dracula and vlad the impaler, filled with lots of history. And now I'm trucking through book 3 of Anne Rice's "The Life of the Mayfair Witches" one of her chronicles. Both good if you're into that sorta thing...like I am
