    Thumbs down This Zoomed 500R won't work yet

    I've been messing with the controls of the thermostat for easily 2 hrs and i can't get it where i want it. Any Suggestions?

    Throw it away. They're junk. Spend a couple more bucks and get a good thermostat.

    Take It Back If You Can..............

    You would be better off to get another thermostat. If you want an on/off, I recommend the Johnson. Rancos work ok, but I prefer the Johnson. If you want a proportional and you're willing to spend the extra money, I would go with a Helix. There are others out there that will work also. Good luck.

    No doubt! Johnson and Ranco are the best of the on/off with Helix and Herpstat the best proportionals. I have a Zoomed 500R that I have used successfully for a year and a half. I use it for my Hog Island Boa. I regularly spot check his temps just to make sure its still functioning properly. I will prob replace it with a Johnson and use it as a backup stat. For my BP collection I use Herpstat.
