Re: how big of a mouse can these things handle?
Quite right, April! She was a great help when I had a couple regurges from Wrigley when he was a wee widdle tyke.....
He could handle adult mice just fine...in fact I ran out of fuzzy rat pups and fed Apollo, Pinky T and Petey all adult mice just fine....but when he was younger, I had tried to feed him two smaller rat pups than I had the week before. He didn't like two and regurged. After recovery he was okay, but then about 2.5 months later there was a housing problem, and even tho it had been over 48 hours, I tried to lift him up and he regurged later that night. After that, I gave him 3-4 days before handling after feeding and now that he's a LOT bigger, we haven't had ANY problems. He's up to rats that are about 3 mo. old or so (bigger than "smalls" but not as lg. as "mediums").
The babies are all eating lg fuzzies w/o any problems.
