Why not mist the sides of the tub or keep a wet sponge on top of the hides (we tried that also with success but found it unnecissary).
Directly wetting their substrate's not a great idea imo unless there's something about bloods scootchin around on wet ground as a part of their natural enviroment. Sounds like a cause for belly rot in the future for me...
Bloods naturally come froma damp humid environment there is no problem wetting the newspaper at all IMO Plus it drys pretty quick as it difuses into the tank creating humidity , as I said dont make it soaking wet but spraying it so it is damp is fine.
not to say your methods are wrong BTW they are fine and I dont doubt they work, wetting newpaper also works trust me I know through keeping them

They look cool, but why mess up a snake's bloodline?

I just hope that none of those hybrids ever make it into the wild. Hopefully, the less they're bred, the more money they'll be worth, and in a result they will never be released; then again who re-releases their captive BPs into the wild!

I'm with you 100% on that hence my rude comment(which I appologize for). I would pay more for a pure blood line ball or blood than I would for a hybrid. A hybrid IMO is worthless and I wish that all of the unnatural ones would be infertile.
