    Just an update!

Hi guys! I'm a bit overwhelmed at the moment by my to-do list, lots of stuff underway and I think I'm falling too far behind on the boards to catch up properly at the moment. So if there's any big news that I should not be missing, please PM me! Seriously!

I've switched substrates from Carefresh to Indented Kraft Paper, and I am loving it. Thanks to the guys on here who gave me the idea! All of our snakes are on it, it's cheaper, tidy, looks nice, easy to clean... Major thumbs up! As always, B-P.net is inspiring me and improving my quality of life, herp wise!

I'm 90% sure Ma-tsu has reabsorbed her eggs, which is fine as we weren't really planning on it till next season anyway. Disappointing, but fine. She's back to her old active "Please pick me up, Mommy! Oooh, TV!" self, so I'm happy! She loves the new substrate because she can turn her hide around to face the television or away from it if she wants to nap. Like a big ol turtle! She's cruising adorably right now!

I really need to get a scale so I can tell you how big Gomez has gotten, he's such a big beautiful chunker! And a piggie to boot! Our sweet lil lapsnake. Nothing like chilling on the couch with your favorite BP!

Falkor, our corn, who has spazzed dramatically at every attempt to switch out his substrate loves the Kraft paper. He's been extremely active lately, and will sometimes follow your finger along the glass! Such a cutie.

Neptune is being Neptune, a little more active but still skitzy. Last time I took him out, he didn't hiss at me/try to bite till I went to put him back. But hey, its a start!

Bunnies are all doing well, and I have really bonded with Unut. The boy loves me and I love him right back. Neither of our other bunnies cuddle with me like he does. I love them all, but Unut is definitely a Momma's Boy.

I updated the index & caresheet on www.bluegorgon.com and am still working on how to revamp the gallery. Working on the Cafepress idea! Hopefully I'll have posters and all kinds of goodies available before you know it. Much better than just doing the prints. I'll probably defeat the purpose, buying as much from myself as I sell. But still, yay!

I also started up a youtube account, with video of my critters. Including footage of Ma-tsu shedding! I have lots of pics I still need to upload, and I'm getting to it but I think all the vids I have so far are up on there.

Think that's it for now! Love to all you guys! I'm here but I'm not, I'll catch up eventually!

Woo! Updates from the House of Blue Gorgon...glad to hear all the news. =)

I was thinking about you just earlier today...one of the local reptile stores has a 1.1 pair of adult VBBs up for sale (Amazon Reptile Center)!!! I think I'm gonna drag Rick down there so he can see how cool VBBs are (well, me too since I've never seen one in person). Nifty, huh? =D

Always lovely to hear from you, Sheree! Sounds like life is ticking along quite nicely. Before you know it, you guys'll be done with school and in a big house filled with scaley, feathery and furry friends!

    Re: Just an update!

I will, Jamie! He just put away his after shed meal, and I'll have him out for cuddles on Tuesday, because if I cuddle him before that he's guaranteed to pee on me, lol! I'm keeping my eye on VIP axanthic prices for his future girlfriend too, we want to do at least one clutch. Gomez is too handsome not to pass those genes on!

And holy crap, Cassandra, that male is a monster! 10ft! I need to update the caresheet again, lol! I think both of mine are around 8ft. That's very cool, I hope you get to handle them! If either of them are as docile as Ma-tsu, it's just surreal!
17 months and counting till Karen's graduation, Judy!

Great to hear an update from your happy albeit busy home, Sheree. Hugs to you, Karen and all the various furry, fuzzy, feathery, scaley family members.

Soo, bit of a hi-jack on Sheree's thread...

Rick and I did go down to Amazon Reptile Center to see these two ginormous adult VBB's. The male had sold; although the female was still there, she was on hold for the same buyer (so I hope he comes back get her!).

Couldn't really see much of her as she was pretty coiled up against the front side of the cage. I asked to see her and the manager was like "She's the most aggressive animal we've got in the store right now, so we'd both be sure to get bitten". He then said that all the VBBs he's ever had in, they've all been pretty aggressive and I could tell he really didn't want to take her out (the store was packed with shoppers so he was pretty busy and I'm guessing he didn't want to scare them off with a 9' bitey snake).

Anyway, I didn't get to hold her and unfortunately, Rick was not particularly impressed with her looks - meh!

I did get to hold a baby albino whitewater canyon rosy boa (ORANGE!) - sooo cute! Must have one of those someday...and when we were buying feeder rats for the girls, one of the shop guys had out a Bornea shortail (little guy who I guess came them really underfed - he was tiny for being 1yr old, maybe 20" long) so I did hold him for a few minutes. Rick thought he was cool =), so I need to show Rick some pictures of Kara's short tails and bloods!

    Re: Just an update!

Awh, that's sad. I wonder if she was in shed or something.... this is another reason I want to breed for docility, beauties have a very nervous reputation but I also do know of other Ma-tsus out there and I want to make more of em!

The rosy boas are growing on me, btw... argh, too many tempting snakes!
