    Alternative Food sources

    So basically i'm wondering if anyone feeds their BP's anything other than mice? i also have a speckled kingsnake so do any of you kingsnake owners feed your kings anything other than mice?

    Best stick with rodents for the BP... that's what they eat in the wild. They do not eat eggs, and, in fact, only one type of snake can eat eggs.

    As for the kingsnake, I would stick with rodents for him, too. Rodents are the most nutricious food for a snake, and what they will typically eat in the wild (garter snakes are some of the only few that typically eat fish, crickets, and worms... and kings and milks can be cannabilistic, eating other snakes, but, again, best to stick with rodents).

    Mine on the other hand prefer S'Mores and moonlit walks along the beach.

    Stick with mice or rats, whichever your snake will eat and is best accessible by you.

    Wow i wish i was as lucky as the rest of you folks.My snakes will only eat T-bone steak rare with A-1 .Yea its best to stick with rodents for your snakes .
