    Weigh-In!

I decided to weigh the BP kids today; here's the results. Luna made me do it; she messed her cage up pretty good and I had to remove her for cleaning, so I figured a quick weighing couldn't hurt.. then everyone else had to be weighed too.

Ginger tips the scales at 1890g!

    LaVey's a pretty big boy at 1538g.

Bela is getting there at 1138g.. She did NOT want to cooperate with weighing!) It is an accurate weight; her head wasnt touching the table.

And little Luna is at a tiny 112g.

I love the white creeping up Luna's sides! She looks so polite and tiny all curled up in a heart compared to the rest of them trying to escape!

    Thanks!
It is LaVey who was all curled up nicely; pretty funny, since he has the least tolerant attitude of the whome bunch! I love these snakes; unlike before, when I had some that I wasn't "attached" to, these ones all hold a place in my heart.

Awww they are all gorgeous but the little one is just too sweet. Lucky you though Jen, I have to bag most of our bigger ones...no way will they co-operate at weigh-ins LOL.

Bagging - now why didn't I think of that? I'm normally snake wrestling to get them to hold still long enough to get a weight! LOL

Even a light tap on the nose to encourage her to somewhat ball up doesn't stop Annie from squirming away! LOL

    Bagging - who knew? LOL

Seriously though - very nice group you have there Jen!

    Re: Weigh-In!

We put our girls in their holding tubs (well, shoebox sized tubs we put them in when we're cleaning their cages), zeroing the tub on the scales before putting a snakey in it...

Carmen associates "bag" with "going to vet", so I wouldn't want to torture her with "bag" also meaning "scales" as well. =P
