OK.. here is my issue (if it is an issue) but I have a 60 breeder. I keep my water dish on the cool side of tank and the humidity rides between 60 - 65 and temps are 78 - 82. On the hot side, I am running an UTH with a top lite so I can maintain between 91 - 94 but the humidity on that side rides between 35 - 45. I misted it this morning and when I left for work the humidity was up to 50 on the hot side but I am sure it has dropped back since. Will the high humidity on one side of the tank be enough to compensate for the low humidity on the other? If not, how do I get equalization between the two sides?
Peace

In the past, I have used astroturf and just pulled out the piece when it got soiled and put a new one in. Then cleaned the old piece and kept it in reserve for the next mess. I went with the reptibark this time (just now getting back into my snake hobby) because I think it looks nice in the glass tank. I am thinking of either going to turf or putting less reptibark in next time I change it. Does anyone use this stuff? And if so, how deep do you lay it on. I believe this may be contributing to some of the issues I have heating with my UTH alone.
