    Probing lubricant?

Hi I was wondering what lubricant everyoe uses to probe? I ask because Al @ N.E.W. Reptiles is coming over to my house today to teach me how to probe. I got my probe set in yesterday from Reptile Supply. I was thinking maybe KY Jelly?
    Thank you.

    Re: Probing lubricant?

I use the small tubes of KY that you can find in a grocery store.

They are small enough to fit in the container with my probes to make it easy to carry them if I need to probe a snake somewhere else.
You may also want to get a bunch of the single pack alcohol wipes to sterilize the probe before and after you use it.

Tell Al, I said hi and I am looking forward to when he ships that spider to me.

    Re: Probing lubricant?

He and his girlfriend are very nice and wonderful people. He showed me how to pop, probe and palpate(SP) a female to see if she has eggs or folices. He even said when I have a gravid female he will come over and show me the difference between an egg and a folice when you feel them. He and his girlfriend are some great people and I would and am going to do buisness with them.
