    Hey

Hey I'm new. I'm am bpkid's brother and I have a baby ball python named Cartman. I have 2 dogs Harley and Buster. Cartman is my first herp and he is kind of nervous around me. Are there any tips you guys have to make him more handleable?

Welcome to the forum! Yer brother's been here awhile, and he knows his stuff; congrats for getting a BP.
Did you give your snake a handling-free settling-in period? I would definately do this for a few weeks before feeding, then, get him feeding well, and Then think about handling; I know it is hard to do but it's worth it in the end!

    Re: Hey

You won't see your bps real personality right off the bat. They are usually very stressed. Give him/her a week to settle in at least. I've had a settling in period that last 2 months. (did I mention you learn a lot of patience with bps?) Once it's settled in, then begin short handling sessions. Routine and patience are key!
