    mothers I have a question.

If you had a 15yr old son,and his 16yr old friend got his drivers license would you let him ride in his friends car?My mom chewed me out today because i wanted to ride in my friends car.I can uderstand her concerns as a parent but man when will she realize that im not going to be a little kid forever,My parents are getting divorced anyway so she's going to have to let go,because i chose to go with my father and it's tearing me up inside,i can't even look her in the face because every time i do i hate myself even more. whooo glade i got that of my chest.

You got to remember, their house their rules. Please don't play her with the "I bet dad will let me blah blah" It really isn't fair.
Divorces are really hard on everyone, and you should look into counseling so you can get this stuff out, and make sure you do it in a healthy way.
And soon enough you will get your license and be driving and in only a few years you will be 18, able to move out and do whatever you want. So enjoy the attention now.

I wasn't saying whether ro not you should go with one or the other. That part doesn't particularly matter. And I wasn't saying that that fact is why you chose to go with your dad. Just giving my advice on it.

Re: mothers I have a question.

    Actually:
    1. You didn't get permission
    2. It could be against the law. If ya'll had had a wreck... In alabama, even if you are 16, you aren't allowed to have a passenger under the age of 21 with a spotless driving record (person in passenger seat) and no more than the total number of people allowed in the vehicle (i.e., no 8 people in a car ment for 5).
    3. Were I a parent, i would NOT entrust my child with someone with fresh plastic. After 6 months of self-driving, maybe. Other wise, no. just because you spent a year behind the wheel with ma or pa doesnt mean you have ANY experiece with real situations. IMO, a 16 year old and a 15 year old gallivanting is a scary thought. And i was just in those shoes 2 & 3 years ago (being 15, then being 16). I had plenty of parents say No you cant drive so and so, or my mom wouldnt let me ride with so and so. Being 'grown' or 'growing' has nothing to do with it. The thought of your precious child with some immature new driver behind a potential death trap is.

And dude, I'm totally not trying to rap on you- Your mom is obviously about to lose her baby in the divorce, why stress her out more?
    'sall I'm Sayin'.

Edit: I do not know your family situation, your mom may be a "pill head" but my point still stands.

This is deep....Your Mom needs help but, it doesn't mean she doesn't love you. Learn from her mistakes.
