    Soaking Boa

My rtb, Inga is a 4+ year and a half old. Her temps and humidity are right on but she has been soaking in her water bowl all afternoon. I know she used to do this with her previous owner but this is the first time in the month I've had her that she's done it. I'm worried about dry patches of skin or other harm that can come to her from oversoaking. Any advice or comments?

this is funny that you mention this because I was just about to start a thread on MY soaking boa.....

I just got him from another guy, about 7 ft long and 6 years old- been soaking for a long time now. Kinda worried, don't see any mites.

Most of my boas soak weekly. They tend to soak a few hours before defecating in their water bowl.

No mites. She was seen by the vet 2 weeks ago and she doesn't go outdoors. I checked her for mites. Apparently, she did this alot with her former owner - he was surprised she wasn't soaking when she came to me. She's still in the water. I'm afraid it can cause problems although she soaked a lot with the former owner and she is very healthy and muscular - nice scales perfect shed. I just don't know if I should do something - I don't want to leave her with no water. She did eat on Saturday - and she hasn't defecated since I got her 3 1/2 weeks ago - maybe she is trying to move something?
