First Small Rat for Princess!

This was my BP's first time eating a small rat and she took it like a champ!!!
She was eating 3 mice and now she is on 1 small rat per week. She has had 2 more feeding since this one!

Live when I put it in there, dead when she swallowed it LOL. I have tried to get her to take frozen thawed and she just wont budge.

Im assuming it was f/t or pre killied. A rat that size could do some real damage to the snake.

It was live, and true, it could do some damage. She almost always gets it by the head because the rat try's to go into her hide so they have a "head on collision", and if she doesnt, I make sure she isnt getting bit by holding the head down with something so it can't bite her. I am very responsible because I have done it the whole time I have had her, and only had one accident so far, and that was with a mouse and partly my fault because I was feeding in a different enclosure where she had no place to ambush from. Now she get's fed in her cage so she has a place to ambush from.

I am working to schedule some downtime to address this - looking like Wednesday but I'll keep everyone posted.
