Yeah, you're probably right. However, I assumed that if he knew how to disassemble a computer and get the fan out, he already knew where the power supply was and how to get it out as well. If he disconnected the fan from the power supply, he already knows how to hook it up. If his computer didn't burn the house down, its not likely that the power supply or fan will either. Basically, if he needs help, he'll ask. You're also right in that its more trouble than buying a new 120v fan. But, since he already mentioned his free fan that he removed from the computer, I thought I'd offer a free solution. I could say that if you want to give that kind of advice to me, you should know something about it as well, but that would be antagonistic, wouldn't it?
