That doesn't look to bad, and quite a bit sleeker than the Accurite models although a little more expensive. My biggest concern would be the sticky pads in the tank. You shouldn't have a problem because they have the magnet and steel plate to keep them separate, but you should keep in mind that it is a potential hazard. Adhesives and snakes don't get along too well...

True... I dident think about that. Glue being that close to a heat lamp might let off toxic fumes.

And plus, you need to measure the ground temps inside the warm and cool hides as well as the ambient temps. Since it doesn't have a probe to measure a separate location as well as what the temp the actual unit it measuring, it won't work too well.
