Cutest rat I've seen in a while!!
Too bad she'll be a feeder eventually!! Theres a certain age where hairless rats loose all their "baby" hair and she has just hit it.

Awe!
I would never feed off a hairless though; my local pet store sells them for around $10 and she can't keep them in. People want those suckers, at least around here.

well if she doesn't have any birth problems, she will be around for a while longer.

Re: Cutest rat I've seen in a while!!
Why would you feed her off just because she has birthing problems? It's already been proven as fact that hairless rats have very much difficulty in birthing and nursing young. Why would you even try? They probably wouldn't make good feeders because of their lack of hair. It would be like feeding pinkies and we all remember what that was like(if you own colubrids or other small pinky-eating snakes). Their feces are not held together by the fur(roughage) and it makes the feces a big runny mess.
Not to mention, hairless rats require more food/more fat in their diet because of their higher metabolism to maintain proper body temperature.
Anyway, *steps off of soapbox*, good luck with that...

I wouldn't feed her off. If she doesn't do any good at breeding, I'll let her live a life with no breeding therefore she will live longer. I should have said it differently. The babies would be used for the sav, wouldn't waste my time growing all the babies up to the right size for my boas. She will likely just be a pet anyways. Just want to keep the breeding side open
