To know where to start your initial investment into future BP breeding, it helps to know exactly what makes your heart race the most. For me, my top four favorites were pieds, clowns, caramels, and lessers. When it finally came time for me to buy my first BP, I happened to come into some extra cash (thanks in great part to a very generous hubby!). So....I wrote a little letter to a couple of favorite breeders of mine and said "I have $xxxx to spend...and these are the morphs I REALLY like (although I like them all!)...and I'd really like my first BP to be a female. What would you recommend?"

And so I'm now the proud owner of one 100% het caramel girl. It'll probably be another year or so before I can get her a boyfriend...and actual breeding won't be until years down the road because my hubby is AF and we move a lot. (You know how that goes! )

Anyhow...all that is my long-winded way to say narrow down what you REALLY want....have a game plan for the near and distant future...and then figure out where your money is best spent.
