It would be hard to really give you a good critique on your setup without pictures. If possible see if you can temporarily move the cage to bring the temps down. The humidity also does not need to be that high 50-60% is a good range to aim for. The humidity you have now would be great for shedding.As long as your hides are nice and snug on him, then you should be ok. I prefer identical hides.
You didn't say how you were measuring your temps and humidity. If you are doing so digitally, then you're set! (no dials or strips)
As for behavior, bps are shy nocturnal animals. Having said that I usually see mine out and about pretty often, unless they are in shed. One of my girls doesn't venture far from her hides, and another girl hardly ever uses them. So they can vary, as far as individual preference. Although when they go into shed you will notice a dramatic decrease in activity.
