...by my lovely snakie boy, naturally. *grin* He's climbing all over me-which is perfectly fine with me! Just thought to drop into here and say a friendly hello to everyone! I go by Seneschal, and I live in Florida, which, by the way, is an awesome place to look for snakes. I was taking a walk three days ago and found an eighteen inch long coral snake just crossing the road--it was gorgeous. *still in bliss* And not five minutes later two red-shouldered hawks-hoping they didn't spot the little guy!

*dies* My little snake's an evil little bugger; trying to drag my glasses off my face! Hafta keep chasing him down! And hope he doesn't decide to crawl down the back of my shorts, which he likes to do. Am I alone in my snake-molestation woes?

So--wild snake sightings! Toss 'em out! That's always a fun convo!

I've only seen garters in the wild, back in Colorado. Curled up peeking at me in the redrocks whispering to itself "please don't see me, please don't eat me, please don't see me..." over and over. I didn't bother it, just cooed then was dragged along the hike. Nothing in AZ, but I live in the city, so...

I have one who likes to watch TV; she never does this any time but by the TV; she sits in my lap and stretches her neck right out to the screen, and stares. Really freaky

Welcome. I have 6 bps now ... started out with 2 when I got here but DTs started setting in and had to get more... I just got some more room for more BP and have a bunch of baby mice and rats now so some time in the future I might give in and get more BPs

Why thank you all! ^-^ I'm glad to be here, it looks awesome. *grin* I love BP's. Only have my one boy right now but oohhhhh....I want another one so badly! *grin* Even though my house is already a zoo.

*grin* Yes. That's fine until they start getting bigger...then they're in danger of breaking the frames, lol.

*grin* garters are cute! but they bite you if you catch them. O.o;; it doesn't hurt but they're all "DIEDIE" and grab on! Aw, that sucks! *pat* well. i've actually seen more snakes living in the city, here, than I have since I moved to the country. Countless rattlers and a pygmy and two or three copperheads and one five foot cotton mouth I made the mistake of grabbing on accident when I was a kid...it learned to fly and I just about flew. *grin* nothing cool like that since I moved. Just a couple ringnecks, an awesome four foot yellow rat who kindly let me pick him up and look at him without biting, and the coral. If you want lots of wild snakes, this is definitely the place to live, lol!

Incidentally, not many Floridians walk around barefoot.

o.o that's creepy, Ginevive! D'you think she sees it the way we do? I don't think they're color blind...or at least, I don't like to, lol!

six! *drool* I totally want another one, but given that it took me almost six years to convince my parents to let me get Matika...*grin* I don't see it happening anytime soon.

I think they like the movement or heat coming off the TV. No one believed the BCI we fostered liked to watch hockey with my husband so I had to take a pic. Here's over 6 feet of snake in his usual TV watching position on the coffee table engrossed in the game LOL (at least he didn't ask me to grab him a beer while I was up like the hubby does!)

lmao! That's so strange! My boy's never done that, but then normally I don't sit watching tv while I hold him, so that might be why. He's gorgeous by the way! And you're right, I didn't think about the heat coming off the screen...of course, we shouldn't discount the possibility that maybe he just really likes his hockey! (Luckily not the beer)
