    Anyone else into Anne Rice?

I am on the fifth book in her Vampire Chronicles series; I absolutely am in love with her writing. I don't feel like I'm reading something written for a kindergartener, like with many of today's authors; and yet it is all so captivating. I really feel like I am in the story, the way she describes the environments, the characters.. Anyone else into her books?

::: off to curl up, watch the T-storm, and read!:::

I've read them all!!! Twice to three times each. My favorite is the Queen of the Damned. Later on in the series she goes WAY overboard on description though, but they are all good. Did you know that Lestat is based off her dead-husband, Stan, which is why there will be no more Lestat books?

Kelly drives me nuts about the books. I think she has memorized a good bit, Can go on and on about the vampire chronicles in detail!! Not to mention her other books.

Must be great! I've heard so much I can't stand anymore.

I've got ALL her vampire books - love 'em. I was going to name Sakura Akasha then her future partner Lestat ...

I've read some of the Mayfair Witches too - but I love the vampires.

Wow, do you know what name she used for that? I would love to read those; sort of like a "lost volumes" set, it would be for me

Re: Anyone else into Anne Rice?

If you like her stuff, you should read the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton. Warnting though, once you get about 5 or 6 into the series there are some graphic sex scenes. Also she has a series who the main character is Merideth Gentry, awsome series two, a little more sex, and about fairys, and I'm not talking about your typical Tooth Fairy/Tinkerbell, but more like demons! :-D

Yay! Sounds fun; I ain't really into the romantic/sex crap, but I love the way her books have these twisted and turning storylines and endings. And vampires just plain rock.

The sleeping beauty trilogy is ann rice as AN Roquelaure. Its a very different sleeping beauty story, filled with lots of sex and sexual humor in my opinion.
