It looks more like a ball python than a stone to me

It looks "granite like" to me, but from my limited experience, I don't believe that it's a true granite. It doesn't have the break in the neck stripe, for example.

Yeah, no break in the neck stripe..... striping, according to NERD is "Usually" there as well, but obviously not always.
