    Animals Plastic T3

I placed an order for one a few days ago and had a few questions. What is the best kind of heat for the tank, Does anyone know how long it takes for them to ship, and how hard is it to put together? I currently have my bp in a glass tank and hate it because of how hard it is to keep the humitity right, so I placed an order for this. Now I currently use a heating pad on the hot side of the tank and a lamp on top for just adjusting the humitity. So would it be okay to just buy another under tank heater or do I need something else because of the material the T3 is made out of? And if so what would be the simplist to install, decently priced, and works the best?

Did you order the T3 with the belly heat (heat cable)? I assume not because you are asking. That is the most effective heat with AP cages due to the thickness of the panels and the fact that they router grooves in the bottom for the heat cable. Flexwatt will work but you will need a much higher temp on the flexwatt to get the right temp in the enclosure. They can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks to arrive but for that you might want to give Ali a call and ask her. It is simple to put together. All pieces are marked with what they are and which direction they go and they send instructions with it. I would call AP and get some advice on the heat. Odds are they could just include a heat rope. If not, and there are grooves routered in, I could possibly provide you with one (I have a spare). Good luck!

No, I did not order one with the T3. I placed an order online but they haven't called yet (It said on the website that they would) so I might still have time to order one. How would I know if there are grooves routed in? I mean do they come standard or do I have to ask for this? Yeah I've never bought a cage from anywhere but a petstore lol, so I didn't know exactly if I needed to order one from them or if I could find one elsewhere.

I believe they router the grooves in all cages now but the heat is extra. Definitely give Ali a call and make sure you get it done right. You will also need to get a thermostat to control the heat cable. It can get VERY hot. Good luck!

Thanks for the information. Since they already took the money out of my account (through paypal of course) I guess now I'm going to have to call and ask for the belly heat or is it somehow possible to just go ahead and order it? I'm betting I still have to call them. And for the thermostat, do you reccomend a certain brand or anything?

Sounds like you will have to call them. There are all sorts of thermostats with pros and cons. You might want to do a search and see what you come up with. They range in price from $30-$200.
