Sav or the divorce court ... or please help me
I have a big problem (or maybe it's not too bad). Most of you know me and my background pretty well, but for those who don't here's the background to this: I am a mom with 3 teenagers - the eldest of which (nearly 19) bought Sav a year ago. She was in college then, but since then decided she hated the course she was doing and effectively dropped out. She landed herself a bar job up our local pub and did so well at it the manager quickly offered her Assistant Manager post. So basically she found she had no time for Sav as she was spending most of her hours at work, getting ready for work, or sleeping. So it was a case that Sav went or I had him. Well you know I had him (I didn't want to kick him out into god knows what sort of situation maybe being kept improperly).
At a year he is now 2 1/2 feet long (is most of his growing done? How many actually get to 4 ft?) He's currently in his original 4x2x2 viv but I'm desperately trying to galvanize hubby into action (difficult at the best of times when 24-hr sport on TV beckons).
So I've got a real problem here - basically hubby is now having a fit (although he knew ages ago) about the size of viv I want for Sav - originally I wanted 10x4x4, he whinged (OK , so 10ft is would actually take up the whole wall) so I compromised at 8x4x4, then 8x3x3 (when he whined that 4ft would could far too far out in the room (it would have though). Then he re-measured the 8ft (our wall is 11-12ft) and had a major rage saying that we could only have a 6x3x3!!!and said we should really "get rid of it too a zoo or something". At this point I could see the only way of me keeping Sav was to agree to this and let him out a lot (I'm home all w/e and Mondays and working part time Tues-Fri so get back by 1pm).
I feel depressed now as I wonder if this is far too small (nearly all the websites say 8x4x4) or will he be OK if he comes out a lot?

Wow nevermind that old post. My brain fizzed out lol.
Savs should have a nice big cage.. At only 2.5' now he's ok with a 4-6' cage now I'd say.

I would say 6' by 3' is too small for an adult sav!!! 8' by 4' would be the best thing you could ever do and your sav will thank you in the end.

Here's hoping my sav isn't one of the few that reach 5 feet .... but by then he should be already well fitted in and it wouldn't really be too much just to cut off the end and add another couple of feet
Thanks for listening
