    Noobling here

I'm 18 years old, male, from Torrance, CA. I only have a 0.0.1 Normal ball that's been in my possession since Feb this year. Don't know it's DOB or weight, but it's around 16 inches or so. I assume it's no more than 14 months old.

I also have a 3'' Chilean rose T. that I just bought yesterday

I've been a member of another serpant forum but they're so inactive I had to find another one. I made the mistake of buying this little guy before really reading about them, but he's been doing fantastic. Never had problems feeding, although its first shed with me wasn't very fun.

Well, I hope to learn more here and I'm sure I'll enjoy my stay here as I love posting on forums.

Moved to general ball python forum.

Welcome! You're sure to learn a lot here. You might want to look over our caresheet.. it outlines the basic needs of ball pythons.

Those little stick on dial thermometers are not accurate in the least.. I'd toss those and pick up a digital thermometer/hygrometer (humidity gauge) from Walmart or Target. Accurite is a good brand.

What are you using to heat the cage?

That should be fine but definitely get a thermostat to regulate the UTH, those things get real hot. I have a CHE on the cool side keeping the ambient temps up and have found when it gets too warm, I place a piece of aluminum foil under the CHE so only half of the element is emitting heat into the cage.
