    The nerve of some people!

I'm sorry but I still need to vent. My son was involved in a church tball league, and due to some mismanagement, their end of the year banquet got canceled and we weren't notified until after the last game. Well my husband and I decided to offer to host a party at our house, so the kids could have a last hoorah and a nice trophy presentation. The deal was that was that we would supply the hamburgers and hot dogs, and everyone else could help and bring one thing like chips, drinks, dessert etc. We have a pool and a trampoline for the kids to enjoy. The party went mostly well, a few people forgot to bring something but I managed that alright. Well one mom just always has to complain, and started whining to my husband that we kidified the party because we didn't have lettuce, tomatoes, or onions but that it was ok since it WAS for the kids. (all said in a bit of a condensding voice) This from the woman who brought those popsicle tubes that WEREN'T frozen, and who ate at least 5 hot dogs. I sent most stuff home with whoever brought it, but those popsicles were forgotten. The next night she shows up at my house, unannounced, to pick them up!! Are you kidding me? :cens0r: :cens0r: What is wrong with people. A simple thank you would have been fine.

Wow. That is one miserable woman. If there's ever another party with this woman, perhaps you can fix her up a 'special' dog. What do you think, a weanling or a couple fuzzies?

There are definitely people in the world that just make you shake your head and think "WOW." It makes me wonder if someone like that has lived a life totally devoid of anything truly frightening or serious happening to them....because they are so focussed on such tiny little negatives. ...lucky them.

Well if all that woman has to whine about in her life is the lack of tomatoes and lettuce...yippy for her! Maybe she needs to think about the fact that there's small children in this world that don't have a hot dog or hamburger to put condiments on and will go to bed with nothing in their tummies tonight and be thankful for what she and her children do have. But people like that never do and quite honestly Christie I'd have been furious and likely said something rude...you are a lot more patient and gracious than I am (must be that southern thing going on LOL)

    Just remember...

People like her exist so that decent folk have a point of comparison.

Absolutely righteous of you guys to throw a last-minute party...I bet your generosity put the finishing touches on a fun t-ball season for all the kids. Most excellent!
