    OK lady.. which is it?

Yesterday, I posted about the article that was in my local paper, about the alleged rat farm... here is the link to the original story...

Alleged rat farm has Madison Township neighborhood upset:
    http://mansfieldnewsjournal.com/apps...607060305/1002

Here is the first description of the incident:
Christy, thought the rat in their back yard was a large squirrel and tried to get close to it until Hodge and other adults realized the little girl was running toward a large rat.

Todays article~ Official: No rat problem, but probe continues
    http://mansfieldnewsjournal.com/apps...607070318/1002

And in this article it says:
complaint was filed by a woman who said a large black rat walked out into her back yard Sunday afternoon and came near her 3-year-old daughter.

My question... ok, so which version do you believe.. in one, the kid was running toward the rat.. in the other, the rat walked near her...

But, they did find out the reason there was a rat... someone turned several of thier pet rats loose and kept one for thier daughter. Bad! Very irresponsible too and down right inhumane for those rats who will now have to withstand a harsh winter and becoming pests to the neighbors in that area while looking for warm shelter and food and water... I hope that something is done to the person who released the rats, you know, I had not even thought of that as a possibility after reading the original story... never considered that someone would release rats like that when I know that all of the local pet shops around here except Pet Co will take in rats that are surrenders, however, they tell you that they may become snake food.

    Some ppl!

How irresponsible can an adult get! Great example for the child..."we don't need these pets so hey let's just turn em loose to fend for themselves, get diseased, get smacked by a hammer...whatever". Some people shouldn't have kids, let alone pets! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
