Question avarage weights for 2 to 3 year old Ball Pythons?

Im still new to the Ball Python world. I have had my 2 for almost a year now. I want to know if there weights are normal for there age.

    Male
    2 to 3 years old
almost 3 feet (give or take some inches)
    806 Gr.

    Female
    2 years
almost 3 feet (again give or take some)
    812 Gr.

I just weighed them both today and it seems as if they both gained alot but I dont know if it is to much or to little.

    Thanks.

weights can vary alot, 800-1200 grams is average for a male. i've seen alot bigger and smaller. females do tend to be larger than males, but they vary also. i've seen them from 1200 grams all the way up to 3000 grams around 2-3 yrs. old.

Dang!! I only have minimal paperwork on the female after tracking down the petstore she was bought from. I found alot of stuff on her. but her age is still some what up in the air.
My male seems a little t fat now thanks to my husband who gave him a hamster right after i gave him a rat with out me knowing it. the poor guy couldnt move with out pushing the news paper around with him. it was a touch and go week with him, to make shure that he was going to be ok.

that's hard to say withouy seeing them or knowing their exact age and care history. if they are eating the proper size rodent weekly, i wouldn't worry. for the most part i think that cb balls are probably too well fed and bigger than the average wild caught ones i see come in. of course i could say that for just about any "pet" that we keep!

Yes they are fine. As long as they are eating regularly for you, don't sweat the weights ... doesn't matter. An "eating" ball python is a "happy" ball python.

Thanks alot. They are my kids in a sence, so I worry. My male I plan to breed to the new female I'm getting well once she grows up

Here is another $1000 question LOL How fast do they grow(as in lingth) if fed once a week with the proper amount of food?

Both of mine are going throught a groth spert.. they are sheding once every month with no problems. both are in shed right now.

It all depends on them ... every ball python is different ... that's just the DAGGER about working with live creatures that can't be programmed like a computer ... some gain 100 grams a month, others gain 100 grams a year ... there are no short cuts ... they're breedable when they're breedable.
