The only thing about laying upside down, and not ovulating, would be as to "stargazing".

Incorrect. When a snake "star gazes" it's upright, body extended, head and neck up off of the ground pointing at the sky.

As a way of IBD, but thats not usualy found in pythons.

That is incorrect as well. With the exception of a few "rumors", IBD is found exclusively in pythons and boas.
