    Any Mac techies here?

I need to be able to remotely control a Mac from another Mac through a direct cable connection. Does anybody know a software that would do it?

    Mac 1 - Host
    OS X 10.4
    Intel processor

    Mac 2 - Remote
    OS X 10.4
    Non Intel processor

Mac 2 needs to be able to control Mac 1 and Mac 1 also needs to have full control of the mouse/keyboard at the same time. It needs to be direct cable because the processing that will happen on the Mac cant be interrupted and neither can the connectivity between the machines. Thanks in advance!

Install this on the one that needs to be controlled:
    http://www.redstonesoftware.com/vnc.html
Install this on the one that needs to control it:
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/cotvnc/

And then connect the two with either a crossover ethernet cable, or a firewire cable.
Either one can be setup for networking from the network configuration pane.

Whichever one you use, setup a network between them using private ip addresses...
    ie. machine 1 = 10.0.0.1 , machine 2 = 10.0.0.2 , netmask = 255.255.255.0

Awesome!! I wasnt sure if it would work with a firewire cable but a crossover will work just as well! I know nothing about Mac (I am a Microsoft engineer) so I wanted to get some input on how to make this happen. Thanks Sarah!
