First Shed!

ok.. so.. since that last HUGE rat Fendi had.. I checked on her the day before yesterday and her eyes were blue. So she's in for a shed..which is great news..BUT.. i just wanted some pointers or added advice to help the sheds go over smoothly. I know bp's need more humidity than most other snakes..but is there anything else i should know?

Best advice I know is to keep the humidity between 60%-70% and leave her alone. She'll take care of the rest.

Congrats on the shed, maybe you should get some sphagnum moss and make a humidity chamber out of a tubberwear. I give my guys that option when they are "Blue". Good luck with the snakey.

If you haven't had a chance to go through this, Daniel's work on the shedding process is amazing and will be a huge help to you right now. As others have said, bump the humidity slightly and just wait it out. Most likely your snake will be quite reclusive (even more so than normal) but in no time you'll have a lovely, shiney snake to admire. After the shed is done just double check that all the old skin is off especially around the vent, the tail tip and both eyecaps.
