Missing Threads

I wonder if anyone has had this happen to them? I posted a new one yesterday evening (UK time) and the forum just gobbled it up overnight!!

It wasn't really important, just me wondering about something, but I was just curious as it isn't even listed under my profile (and it definitely wasn't a naughty post )

Very odd.

No posts were moved or deleted that I could find - nor was there a database hiccup which could have prevented them from reaching the forums.

A few times when posting a new thread I have used the preview option, adjusted stuff, previewed again and evidently after hitting preview a few times mistook it for the submit button - which is a real bummer if you've spent time pennign a longer post.

Apologies at any rate for whatever happened - I'll keep my eyes peeled just the same.

What topic/forum would it have been headed to?

It seems to have turned up again now ... I posted it here from home yesterday and was at work when I was looking for it - now I'm back home again and found it immediately! Sorry - it must be me!

Edit: You can delete this "Missing Thread" post if you like - it's taking up space.

Sue it could be something to do with your cookies and refreshing the site and so forth. For some reason lately I'm having that same sort of trouble. I'll see a thread with a post by a member listed on the main page, but when I go to that page it's missing. In order to find it I have to hit the refresh button....haven't a clue why it's suddenly doing this to me but it's likely my POS computer.

Maybe that's it then, in my case, though - things are often "Operator Error"
