    Daddy's Little Girl

My daughter got her first tag today. She was playing with the smallest of the snakes (12 inch corn), and get herself tagged. She went around showing everyone her little pin hole like it was a badge of honor. She was so proud of herself. She didn't cry scream or drop the snake. I am so proud of her. She is a tough little girl just like her grandma.

The wife got tagged by our other corn the other day. The white one that acts so mean. Shannon didn't even know she had been bit til we squeezed it and saw 3 itsy bitsy blood trickles.

Liam, my 5 yr old is the only one who hasn't been tagged yet. I am kind of suprised I though Liam and LeSha would be the first ones.

Sorry I won't have any pics of Shannon or LeSha's tags since they were so small. Hunter and I both got tagged by the biggest snake, the girls got off easy with the corns.

    Re: Daddy's Little Girl

Erica it really isn't bad. My son got his in the face right around the eye when he got into a new snakes face and made noises at it. He got it from a 5ft RTB. He was startled but not hurt, and he had about 10 teeth marks or so. Shannon and LeSha weren't hurt at all just a couple pin holes. Mine was the worst by far. I got bit by the same RTB that got my son. She got me on the inside part of the arm and clamped down for a second or two. That felt like a hard pinch. None of us have really felt the teeth at all when we were tagged. That one bruised really bad, about twice the size of the bite. We all still handle our snakes just as much as before we were bit. Delilah (the 5ft RTB) is only handled by me though. She has bit twice and I am I sure she will again. She is too much snake for my wife and kids to handle. She is "dad's snake" and "dad's snake" only. I was kind of nervous about getting bit before it happened, but after it happens you realize it's really nothing.

Pics of my bite, this is the worst we have seen around here with 10 snakes.

Lars, please let your daughter know that I think she's a really cool kid to handle her first tag so easily. Little herper in the making!

Lol; she reacted better to her first tag, than I reacted to mine, then! (imagine a garter snake flying across the lawn, heh.)
