    Which would you keep?

I have three pairs of 100% hets (albino, piebald, yellow ghost). They are still pretty young now, but once they breed assuming I can get a few visual morphs what would you hold back for future breeding? Male, female or one of each? I was planning on keeping the first male and first female from each pair, but after thinking about it i'm not sure if it would be worth it versus just keeping one and selling the rest. Of course if I keep both I can produce some DH's. Can anything worthwhile be produced from double hets albinoXpiebald, albinoXghost, piebaldXghost???

In breedings like that, I typically hold back all of the girls and the best looking male visual morph from each clutch.

Once they are grown you would prove out the females then, correct? I have enough rack space for 3 visual males and 15 het females. That should be more than enough to keep me busy.

Eventually, when I have the cash I'd like to get a clown also. I'd love to see the clown mixed in with the albino, pied or ghost. That would look awesome!

    Re: Which would you keep?

I will probably do like adam said and keep the best visual male and as many het females as possible. The rack I just got has 18 slots so I've got room for 1 male and 5 females of each of the three morphs I'm doing. If I ever get my clowns I guess I'll just buy another small rack for them. I really don't see myself doing more than 3-4 morphs at a time just to keep things more simple and easier to focus on the quality of the animals being produced.
