Picky? All snakes need proper temperatures and humidity.. but JCP aren't so shy. Especially babies will spend a lot of time hanging out on a branch if provided, but hides are still necessary. You can use a tank as long as you cover most of the lid to keep heat and humidity in.

It is fairly common for baby JCP to be a bit nippy, but if you have the patience, you will likely be rewarded with a beautiful yellow and black docile python.
