so he/she has eyecaps well tonight i soaked him and pulled off the eyecaps but as i was putting him away he kept breathing through his mouth every so often and it sounded like a kind of had a hard time breathing like a crackling noise from his nostrils when i put him up to my ear
Never forcefully pull a shed off of a snake. Especially the eye region. You could do some serious damage and the snake could go blind if you are not careful. The crackling noise could be due to shed pieces stuck inside of the nostrils.
so i was wondering if maybe he got a bit of water in his nose or something while soaking or maybe he's got an RI.
my humidity is around 50 to 60 and temp is fine so any help would be awesome.
If you think that your snake has an RI, you should take him or her to the vet ASAP. Only a qualified professional should diagnose your animal and not someone sitting behind a keyboard at home. We can only dish out good adivice
