So my sister calls me last night.....

To tell me she has made me an Aunt!!! I am so excited!

The new member of our family is due around Thanks Giving!

Congratulations! That was very nice of your sister to think of you like that. Babies are a lot of fun... almost as much as baby Balls.

The fun will really begin when I get to help care for an infant again! My kids are older, almost 15 and almost 14 years old, so I often miss caring for a little one. But the really cool thing is, I get to enjoy the child, then send him or her back home with my sister and dont have to lose sleep at night....cept for the late night ..."what do I do?" or "it wont stop crying" calls to me. Hehehe.

Awwwwww....that's awesome, Jeanne!! And how fun for you to live close enough to enjoy it. I only get to see my neices and nephews about once a year or so....and they grow so darned fast!

Congrats! I absolutely LOVE being an aunt... the part about having all the fun and them sending them home with their parents, yeah, that's the best

Course, I like being the crazy aunt that lets her get away with anything, including playing with snakes and lizards, and even letting her pick out her own snake when she gets old enough---though I'll keep it and Mom and Grandma will never know
