Stupid Feeding MISTAKE stories............
OK I want to hear all your stupid feeding mistake stories. It can be one of your own or something that happened to a griend of a friend............
I will start with this ine that i just posted at a different site. LADS be warned.......
The other day a good friend of mine, whose name I will leave out and call him BOB, hada date he was excited about going on. You know how mid 20's guys are......... Well he took a very large rat from the frig to warm up and went to take a shower. He finished his shower and went in the kitchen got the rat and went to his room........... He removed the top of the tank to his 7 foot Burm and picked it up to put in its feeding tank, while still holding the rat........... Next thing I know is I am getting a call from his next door neighbor to come over as he has just been rushed to hospital and there was a large upset snake on the loose.
I go over and put the snake in his tank and feed it to which it was ever so happy to take and secured everything. Then I go home. I got a call from him at the hospital to come get him and he asked if I could bring the BIG car.....
To find out he was completely naked and was sporting a bandage like the one in american pie on his................. With the explicit instructions of Ice every 2 hours for the first 24 hours and daily wound checks by the doctor. He required 30 stitches on the offending dangley bit.
I dont thin he will make the mistake of nude snake feeding again do you?..............
OK ppl lets hear yours and I will then share one of my own that will make you say omg.

Jo, you are SO funny!!
That's a pretty funny story, although I'm quite sure "Bob" didn't think so at the time! I hope he didn't suffer any permanent damage!
I don't have any feeding error stories. I suppose there may be an inevitable one someday down the road, but as of now, I guess I don't have enough "feedings" under my belt to have gotten complacent. (Besides that, I've always got my husband's voice in my ear "Has it bitten you yet???" LOL)

Re: Stupid Feeding MISTAKE stories............
Well this is on a less dangerous route. Back when I used to just drop the mouse in to my corns tank I made a mistake. I used to just go in, not even turn on the lights drop and leave. Well I thought I had opened the corns tank I dropped it and heard a splash. I had dropped in the turtle tank right next to it!! I was pissed and my turtle wanted to get it for some reason.

Wow ... nothing ever like that!!! My son got tagged trying to pull one of the snakes out right after feeding. That was one of those "told you so" moments. Yeah, dad was not making it up that you might get bit if you bother them after eating ....but he has never done it again!!!!

Re: Stupid Feeding MISTAKE stories............
I also dont have enough feeds under my belt to have mistake stories. however, I am eventually going to get bit because, despite warnings from you all here as well as my SO AND my kids, I am still hand feeding Nag. I know one of these days I'm gonna get bit, I am prepared for it, and I just enjoy hand feeding too much to stop right now. *shrug*
Mama always said I was one sandwich short pf a picnic
so I guess you could call it a "future mistake"
