    Rack system?

Hello everyone I hope you all are doing well. Well as some of you may know I recently purchased two baby ball pythons and am loveing them! But as woth all my heprs from Leopard gecko`s to Iguanas I go crazy and must have more.... more so in this case ive got the snake bug! After these two guys/girls get bigger I plan on purchasing a few more snakes ....and we all know how a "few" more snakes go eh? Anyways I love my animals and dont really want to stuff em in a regular rack and not be able to enjoy their company even if I cant touch them. What im looking to buy / build is a rack system in wich I can still still my little and not so little guys wich will be rangeing from Adult Ball pythons to adult Red tail boas , blood pythons and everything in between. Anyone have any ideas on where I should start? Ive thought about clear rubbermaid box racks but then theirs no lighting. Maybe two stacks of five each of some Animal Plastics cages? Decisions decisions... any and all help is greatly appreciated guys.

    Best regards
    Ryan

    Re: Rack system?

I remember seeing a rack that was built with rope lights strung along the back panel so that you could see the snakes inside. The rack had flexwatt for heating, too. The only thing... you'd have to measure the heat output from the lights and make sure that your flexwatt and lights weren't getting too hot together.

That said, I have a fairly large snake rack---keep two Balls and one RTB in it---and I don't have any problems with seeing them. The rack uses Iris tubs, and sits right next to my desk. If I look over during the day I can watch them basking or drinking or whatever. The benefit of a rack system for the snakes is that it makes them for more secure.

    My set-up:

    Hope this helps.

Well, I love my Boaphile cages. They are attractive, come in many sizes, are easy to access, and have the best price that I've seen anywhere. The snakes love them too!

I love that I know by sight other people's snakes...it's like remembering their kids names. =)

Depending if you can get any email response. I kind of like the new Vision rack, but will probably build my own.
