    First Feeding

Well my ball python ate for me for the first time tonight. I have had her for a little over a month, when I got her she was about to go into shed. The shed was incomplete, all the head scales did not come off. But after a few soaks and some ZooMed shed aid, I got that stuck shed off. So tonight I put the fuzzy rat in the cage, and she went after it in the first few minutes.

    Re: First Feeding

The fuzzy rat that I fed her was actually a pre-killed rat, so I am pretty lucky that I do not have to switch this snake from lice to F/T. I was pretty sure it was going to have be fed live for a while since I did buy it from Petco, and they told me that this was a wild caught snake. The real test though is if it is going to eat for me next week.

    Re: First Feeding

Congrats on getting your new snake feeding well for you the first time out the gate. Great to hear you got all the stuck shed off as well. Sounds like you are on the right path there
