Clea not eating
I know that Royals have a reputation of not eating. i'm trying every possible way to get her to eat. She's only 6 months old but i would like to know, how long could she go till i should really start getting worried?

Re: Clea not eating
First off check your husbandry. 82-84 on the cool, 92-94 on the warm. Enough hiding spaces for them to feel comfortable. After that, as long as the snake is not losing much weight, its not a huge deal. If all is right in their world, they will eat when its time.

Re: Clea not eating
How long has she not been eating? How long have you had her? Have you had any successful feeds since you've owned her? Has she been checked out for internal parasites? How often do you handle her and for how long?
(hehe...sorry for the Inquisition, but it's all relevant, I believe!)

Check your temperatures, thats the #1 reason why royals don't feed- not the snake's fault, but the keeper's fault.

Another thing to consider is what it was eating before you got it. What are you offering? If it was a live feeder and you are offering f/t it may want to hold out for what is familiar. Just a thought.
