    Full tank but going nowhere!

As some of you know, during the friday night chat I was interrupted by a phone call about my daughter being involved in an auto accident and that I was requested to come to the hospital and had to leave the chat abruptly. Well, the following picture is of her car (the blue one). She was hit in the front by a young man who claims he had dropped a pencil and was trying to pick it up and lost control of his car. They were then hit from behind by another car about 30 seconds after the first impact. They second cars driver claims she didnt see her because her lights were not on, witnessess say otherwise, they say that the second car was just to busy gauking at the car that hit my daughter. My daughter and her passenger (thank God my grandaughter was with me at the time) faired fairly well considering. My daughter received some really good friction burns from the air bag hitting her in the face, lot's of little cuts about her face from the broken side window and a disslocated finger, plus lots of bruises from the seatbelt. Her passenger had her top 4 front teeth knocked out and split her lip from the corner of her lip to all the way up under her nose and several fingers jammed real good. She received 72 stitches to sew up her lip. They are both still fairly sore but doing good.
My daughter and her friend were suppose to start a new job (at the same place) today but are unable to do so due to not having any way to commute the 30 mile trip. They called their allmost employer and were told to get well and to contact them when they feel that they can start and they will do what they can to get them a job with their company.
Just thought I would give you all an update incase you were wondering how things went.

I'm SO glad to hear that your daughter and her friend weren't seriously injured, although I'm sure the aches and pains that come after are feeling serious enough to both of them, especially the poor girl with the mouth injuries! What a scarey phone call to recieve!

Man Carl, that looks like a nasty accident! I'm glad that the both of them did not suffer any serious injuries.

    MAN!

That's rough looking - I am glad everyone came out of it relatively unharmed (gratuitous stitches aside) and can only imagine your relief at your granddaughter having been with you at the time!

Wow, I'm relieved to hear that it wasn't more serious than that. Air bags and seatbelts are wonderful - burns and bruises are so much better than broken. =P
