I would say go with 1 male for now, but it depends on your luck, I had a dud male for a while that wouldn't produce!

Important question(s):

1. How many snakes are you wantign to support
2. What size rats do you need.
3. Have you planned anything for enclosures yet?
4. Where did you get your rats/plan on getting them? Pet store rats of breeding size are often unhealthy and ?'able genetics (may be fine. may be inbred)
