OK here it is my life......lol

IM a mother is 3 and then mother to to many ( or so hubby says) reptiles and such.

My middle daughter is making her 1st communion on sunday, and now I have my ckeck book and credit card smoking...lol SHe now wants like 20 friends to come to the party after and then all the family. That would mean I have to cook for like 60 ppl. So here I am nearly done and she tells me her friends arent coming and that it is ok to just have a little party.....lol After I have made:

10 Homemade cheese cakes
received the order for 30 bottles of wine ( for the adults) and paid for 85 pounds of steak, 20 chickens, and 100 hotdogs. and all the trimmings they come with.

I have 10 loaves of bread in the oven and other sweet breads and cookies I am making and still have the rest of the house to finish cleaning up........lol

IN between I have to find time to take son to soccer practice, make daughters head piece and veil, and get the hair of the kids and mine ( what is left after pulling most of it out) done for the big day.I then have other meetings and various doctor appointments to go to , and on top of it all I woke up this morning with a bad chest cold..........

What more can I do..........lol

The expression " calgon take me away" comes to mind........lol

well im off to the doc to see if she cant help me get this cold gone so I am 100% for the big day , and am making out a schedule to help get the rest of the hethins organized........lol

I must have been really bad in a past life.

If the Dr. can't help, there is a new product out called Airborn. It is a vitamin cocktail, and it is sold at drugstores. I haven't tried it yet, but my mother-in-law swears by it. It is supposed to prevent colds and cut down on the length and severity if you already have one. The other thing you can try is something called Zicam, that I have tried and it does seen to cut the duration of a cold. Good Luck!!!!

I believe high vitamin supplements like that can help. I take vitamin C like mad when I feed a cold coming on, and it usually works

Then again, you can never underestimate the Placebo effect

Make sure to take some time for you. No wonder you are getting a cold with all that stuff to do and the stress of it. If all else fails, run a big old bubble bath, pour a drink (my personal choice is coffee laced with some yummy liquere), grab a good book and lock the bathroom door for an hour with express instructions to the loved ones....if you aren't bleeding from an artery, having cardiac failure or an inability to draw breath...LEAVE ME BE!

airborne is great if you take it before you know you're going to be in an environment where you may get sick (schools, airports, ect.) and is somewhat effective if taken at the VERY FIRST SIGN of a cold....it's worth a shot
